Elena Venizelou is the founder of “Venizelou Law and Associates Law Office” and head of the insolvency, due diligence and restructuring practice. Elena graduated from Law School of Athens and holds an MSc in Business Law from Alba Graduate Business School.

Elena advises Greek and multinational companies as well as investment funds. She has represented servicers in enforcement procedures and provided legal advice in the field of commercial litigation to potential investors before the acquisition of Non-Performing Loans (NPLs). Elena has extensive experience in NPL portfolio sales and has acted as a legal due diligence supervisor, coordinator, and head in numerous NPL projects, including SMEs and Corporate cases, setting the path of the legal due diligence exercise in the Greek territory. Her expertise lies in corporate restructuring and insolvency procedures, and she approaches the issues with a realistic perspective.

Additionally, Elena has developed expertise in debt restructurings, successfully handling projects totaling more than EUR 300 million in recent years. Her work encompasses all legal actions related to the completion of a debt restructuring project in accordance with the Greek Insolvency Code. She has represented both Debtors’ and Lenders’ interests. This experience allows her to understand the perspectives and considerations of both sides involved in the process.
